The Charm of Beirut… I’ve fallen in love again…

I just went to the offices of our super cool Graphic designer over at Vit-e, who are right across the hall from Marsa Sexual Health Center (one of my upcoming charities at Cupcake Box… wait for it…)

Vit-e’s offices is the most charming space I’ve walked in to, a little creative world of trinkets and designs. Another confirmation that I sh

ould have been a graphic designer instead of a mechanical engineer… Before I left they also gave me a box of savory goodies, which just made me want to stay there forever ♥

Downstairs I discovered Jai, a kitchen that is opening in 2 weeks for catering and delivery. I walked in, met the chef Wael (and you know the food is gonna be good when the chef is the owner!), and we sat there talking about food. Wael is my new favorite person cause:

A. He’s heard of Cupcake Box 🙂 That always wins points. And..
B. He’s got 4 of my all time favorite dishes on the menu: Nasi Goreng, Butter Chicken, Tom Kha Gai soup, and singaporean noodles.

I cannot wait till they open, hopefully Jai will give me my asian food fix in Beirut. (get ready Food-Wise

I walked down a little bit further, picked up a few things from my local pharmacy, bought some flowers from my local florist, and now I’m home.

I always say how my relationship with Beirut is an emotional roller coaster. Today, Beirut you were kind to me. Today we’re on good terms and I love you too.

(OK, it’s time… can someone volunteer and teach me how to start a blog?)
